Ask WHERESLI
How does voice search work?
Tap the microphone next to the search bar, say your request, then tap again to stop. You'll see the words WHERESLI heard before anything is searched.
- Tap the microphone. The first time, WHERESLI explains why it needs the mic, then your phone or browser asks for permission.
- Speak your request, then tap the stop button (it stops on its own after 15 seconds).
- Check the words in the search bar. Fix anything that's wrong, then tap Ask.
Your recording is sent to our speech-to-text service to turn it into words. WHERESLI doesn't keep the recording.
If you said no to the microphone, you can still type. To turn voice on later, allow the microphone for WHERESLI in your browser or phone settings.
